I got quite a few interpretations but I kind of see the landscape as a scalp of curly hair, the bug droid a manifestation of super lice wanting to destroy all signs of hope of freedom.
The figure is a subconsious apparation the host, a young boy, has created to explore and terminate the buggos cause the boy wants get back to normal asap. Figure is a warrior anddddd the boy made his imaginary hero part cyborg because that's epic to him.
ALSO I REALLY just love this art. Ya color choices are flamin, the dramatic contrast, abstraction. Just all the love at your brain.
