When Sole Survivor meets Her at the Combat Zone arena(Once a theater and public hall in pre-War Boston but now occupied the building and took over the operation from Tommy Lonegan), She had been fighting there for three years as a cage fighter. Due to the physically demanding lifestyle of the job, She takes Psycho Jet, RadAway, and other chems to maintain it.

She had a love interest named Stratton, who was likewise abusive, leading Cait to close off from others and remain skeptical of debts. Nevertheless, Cait continued to fight in the arena after raiders took over the establishment.
