Description Finally it had all come out in the open. Tadashi had proven his undying love to you and you had told him the secret you had been keeping from him since the day you met. Sadly it hadn’t gone the way you wanted. Instead of freaking out like you expected, he burst into laughter.

“You know (Name). You had me going for a second. Did Hiro put you up to this? I bet he told you I was planning this huh?” Tadashi jokes even though there was a slight twinge of pain in his eyes. Clearly he thought your confession was nothing more that a horrible joke and even though he was laughing, you had a feeling he was hurting.

Jumping from your spot on the couch you grab his hands. “Tadashi. . . I swear this isn’t a trick! I love you and want to marry you. It’s just I couldn’t let you promise to love me for the rest of your life without knowing who I am! Which is a Witch,” you state, pleading with him to believe you.

This caused his hurt to come right to the front. He pulled his hands from yours. “(Name) if you didn’t want to marry me all you had to do was say so. You don’t have to pretend to be a witch. . .” It felt like his words were a knife that stabbed you right in the heart. Tadashi thought you were saying all this cause you didn’t want to be with him.

“Tadashi! I do want to marry you, which is why I’m telling you this!” Just than an idea came to your mind, it was a risky plan but it might be the only way for him to believe you. “Love. . . please. . .  give me ten minutes. I can prove to you that I’m a witch. If by the end you still don’t believe me. . . I will walk out of your life and never come back.” Surprisingly your voice had stayed pretty steady as you gave him his option.

You hoped that it wouldn’t come to it but if it was what he wanted, no matter how it would crush you, you would do it. Tadashi moved his eyes over you as if trying to figure out if he could trust you or not. Thankfully, up to this point, you had never been anything but truth worthy.

With a sigh he flops back onto the couch. “Fine, prove to me that you’re a witch. Than I will be the judge if I want you gone or not,” he informs you crossing his arms. On his face he wore the same stern and unimpressed look you had seen him give his young brother Hiro after he would save him from a bot fight. You never thought you would ever be on the receiving end.

Slowly you make your way over to sit next to him, keeping a safe distance away. If he wanted to be close to you he would have to do it on his own. The last thing you wanted to do was push him into anything. “Now I must warn you . . . I’m a little rusty. Haven’t done much magic since we met, might only be able to do little things,” you tell him chancing a quick glance at him.

To your dismay his face hadn’t changed from his signature big brother stare. You never thought you would miss the loving look he use to give you as much as you did currently. “Little things will be just fine.”

Guess you couldn’t stall any more. Closing your eyes you focus on the power you held inside. At first it was confused. It knew you didn’t want to use it but with a little coaxing it rushed through you. Tadashi’s sharp intake of breath confirmed that you were no longer wearing dark washed jeans and your Alice in wonderland tank top. They had been replaced by a (f/c) flowing witches gown with cap like sleeves. Unfortunately you knew it would take you more than just changing cloths to convince Tadashi that you were telling him the truth.

You reopen your eyes to see that Tadashi’s eyes were not glued to you. Before he was only looking at you out of the corner of his eyes. Now all of his attention was on you. “What would you like me to do first?” You ask, hoping that if he gave you an option he would be less likely to freak out as much.

His chocolate eyes slowly raked your body, sending shivers down your spine. “Well I don’t know about you but I could use a drink. Is that small enough for you?”

Wincing slightly at his voice, it was a mix of worry and anger. Two things that didn’t mix well together, but he had given you something fairly easy to do. Smiling a little you decided to use this to your advantage. “Your wish is my command.” With a twitch of your nose, a glace of Dr. Pepper with a shot of rum, his favorite combination, appeared in Tadashi’s hand.

Some of the colour drains from his face as he looks at the cold drink in his hand. “C-Could I have some ice?” Moments later three ice cubes appear in the dark liquid. “A-And a straw?” One appears in between the ice. By this point all the colour had drained from Tadashi’s face.

Cautiously you reach over and place a hand over the one which lay resting on his lap. His other hand had gone white knuckled around the glass that had appeared in it. “It’s okay Tadashi. I understand that this is a lot to take. . .”

“I can’t believe this!” he suddenly cries, bolting to his feet and dropping the drink. Glass shatters on the ground, the dark content spilling across the shards. “All this time . . . You’ve been lying to me! Did you even love me? Or was that just some spell you put on me?”

Fear ran though you. How in the worlds could he think that way? “No! I never once put a spell on you! Like I said earlier, I haven’t used much if any magic since we met! I love you and want to live a normal life. I want to live a life with you!” Tear had begun to slip from you (e/c)’s. “This was why I was so scared to tell you about me. I didn’t want you to think I could ever pull that on you. The love you . . . once felt for me. . .  it was true. I swear to you.” No longer to see him through your tears you move to focus on the wood floor under your feet.

A painful silence feel over the two of you as your words sunk in. His reaction to your confession had made you start to doubt if he was still able to love you. Sure it wouldn’t be able to turn off all that had happened to the two of you in the past year and a half but you were pretty sure that he would go on and forget about his psychotic ex. Where as you would forever be broken, you knew that even though any moment he would ask you to leave like you had said you would.

So when you heard Tadashi let out a small breath, you braced yourself for the words that would haunt you the rest of your life. Yet they never came. Instead you felt his familiar warm and strange arms wrap around you. Before you could look over at him, he had moved you to his lap, which you now lay cradled in with his face buried in the crook of your neck. “I still love you. . . I have since the moment we met.”

Your heart was now banging hard and fast against your rib cage. He didn’t hate you! He still loved you! “So do you believe me?” you ask trying to stay calm just encase he was letting one last weak moment happen before pushing you out of his life.

The two of you stayed there for a moment, his breathing in your scent while you stayed as still as possible too scared that any small moment might scare him away. Finally he moved from your neck so that he could look deep into your eyes. “You changed your cloths and made a drink appear in my hand. Plus I know the way I feel for you. . . and no way anyone could make up those feelings with the twitch of their nose.” Your heart swells as his words sunk in. “(Name) I love you. . . Powers and all.”

A cry of relief escapes your lips as you throw your arms around him. “Oh Tadashi! I love you too! More that I can possible describe! That’s why I couldn’t marry you without you knowing who I was.”

His own smile replaces his frown as he reaches up and gently wipes the tears from your cheeks. “I’m sorry I reached the way I did. . . It’s not every day the love of my life tells me she has supernatural powers and is a witch,” he says as he holds you close.

Joy coursed through you. His voice was no longer full of distain and distrust, but once again full of the love he felt for you. “I promise you I will never use another spell or incantation in my life if I get to be with you.”

Gently Tadashi runs a hand down your face, leaving to rest on your cheek. “I could never ask that of you. A witch is who you are and even though it does scare me a bit, I love every part of you including that. And I would still like to have you as my bride.”

Finally you could react the way you wanted to his proposal. You bolt up and wrap your arms around his neck holding him close. “Yes Tadashi! My love! I will marry you!”

All he did was smile and bring your lips to meet him. As the kiss grew more passionate, you felt something small slide onto your finger. Now when people saw you they would know you were Tadashi’s and soon the two of you would stand in front of all your friends and his family to declare your love.

Tadashi promised not to tell anyone what you were. He even said he liked to think of you as his secret little witch. The trust and love in that room couldn’t be measured, not even by magic. Than again love was the only true magic you needed as long as you had Tadashi.
