NAME: Jill Valentine
DOB: November 21st 1974
AGE: 41
NATIONALITY: American
RANK / OCCUPATION: Captain / Operations Support and Combat Analysis Agent
EMPLOYER: Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance
The Lost Years – 2006 to 2009
After the Spencer Mansion incident, Jill Valentine was declared killed in action when she sacrificed herself to save her long time friend Chris Redfield. Unbeknownst to Chris and the rest of the BSAA, Jill survived her encounter and was taken prisoner by Albert Wesker. With the man’s connections inside the Russian Federation, Wesker took Jill into the Caucasus Mountains where he and his Russian allies implanted her with a control device in order for her to be used in his quest for world domination. Over the ensuing years, Jill found herself in Wesker’s service as his enforcer, providing not only security for his operations, but also personally handing delicate matters that required a “permanent” solution. Although used against her will, Jill carried out her assignments with brutal efficiency.
Africa – 2009
Wesker’s operations eventually took Jill from Russia and its affiliates to Africa where a newly developed biological weapon called Uroboros was being field tested. Once satisfied with the results, he sent Jill into several local villages in order to expose the indigenous population to the parasite while also providing security for his key associates – Excella Gionne and Ricardo Irving. It was during this time that Excella had developed a romantic interest in Jill, leading to Irving nick-naming her “Excella’s Plaything”.
Towards the end of the mission in Africa, Wesker dispatched Jill to kill her former partner, Chris Redfield, and BSAA operative Sheva Alomar inside a ruined temple. It was during this encounter where Chris had been able to briefly reach her true self even through Wesker’s extensive mind control. The result had allowed her to become aware of her situation but unable to control her actions. In a climatic battle, Chris and Sheva managed to subdue Jill long enough for them to remove the device and save her from his influence. The mission ended with Jill helping her new partners defeat Wesker once and for all inside the mouth of a volcano.
The Following Years – 2009 to Present
After her return to the States following the incident in Africa, Jill found herself in a very difficult place. Not only was she suffering from amnesia from the past three years, but her pending reinstatement into the BSAA was being hampered by bureaucracy while her coworkers treated her with suspicion. Even Chris had kept her at arms length during her initial return, but eventually their strong-rooted friendship saw him come back and become her strongest champion and advocate.
With her reinstatement a few months later, Jill decided to forgo field work in favor of operations planning and combat analysis. While many applauded her decision, she had another reason for doing so. After nearly killing Chris in Africa and the subsequent amnesia, her self-confidence had been all but shattered, giving way to depression. Not wanting to let Chris down and wishing to reclaim the familiarity of her old life, Jill kept her emotional state to herself… including the vivid nightmares that began plaguing her.
Before the events in Edonia and Lanshiang, Jill and Chris eventually grew even closer as both friends and something more. With his return from China in 2013, the two of them reconnected and began a romantic relationship. However, it was after the funeral of Chris’ long-time friend, Leon Kennedy, in 2014 when he eventually proposed to her, and the two of them became engaged.
Four weeks before their wedding date, a new crisis erupts within the Republic of Georgia. Now, Jill will find herself on the front lines in a new and deadly struggle for survival. But as the battles rage across Georgia and beyond, she may soon discover that perhaps the most dangerous enemy she will face… is herself.
