Yamileh grew up in the north of Säxanïz, known more commonly as Seranis to outsiders, in the shadow of the mountain range known as Zalïraneh-der, meaning 'The Tyrants' - so named because they form the north-eastern border between Seranis and Xolvys. The mountains are prone to avalanches and rockfalls, and are generally considered treacherous and impassable, except to the goblins who live in their peaks.
