Description
Monstrous Nightmares are large wyvern-like dragons that live in temperate forests and grasslands across the world. Unlike any other dragon species, Nightmares have the ability to set themselves on fire as a way to not only defend their nest, but to scare off rivals. Like most dragons, Monstrous Nightmares have large, broad wings that aid in long distanced flight but are disadvantageous to the species in heavily forested areas. The "Titan Wing" stage of the Nightmare species resembles the dragons of folklore featuring maroon, gray, vermilion, brown, and black while also adding stripes on the tail fan.

Civilization use: Monstrous Nightmares have been used as engines of war during the Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Roman, Chinese, and British Empire due to their firepower.
