My main project this term in college
This is the first time I've worked with ceramics and I've tried to make it seem like she's underwater, still needs a lot of work, heehee
I'll upload another photo when it's finished in a few weeks

It is certainly very tricky, but we have a lot of tools to help us out with it! It is difficult though!
But thank you, that really means a lot! :'D Obviously I had a lot of help from my teacher - she told me the best way to shape the face and sort her hair out, I'll hopefully be curving them to make them thinner! I'm glad you can tell she's supposed to be underwater though!

I agree! I used to hate the feel of the clay, so I didn't spend a lot of time using it after making a small clay piece, not nearly as impressive as this beauty! You're very talented by the looks of it!

It's not a pleasant feeling, is it? It's usually really cold as well, so it makes your hands tremble! XD

XD Ah, I had a friend who had that trouble...she was amazing at clay work but her first one exploded in the kiln and the second one just broke D:. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you have better luck!

Oh my, it's not very nice at all! We do have this hand sanitiser down in the room though that smells good, so there is a plus when we wash our hands!
Thank you~! I've finished making it now and I've put a blue glaze on it, so when it's been through the kiln I'll try to get a photo of it, if it hopefully hasn't blown up! XD
I really hope it will be! Oh my, that would have been a lot more difficult for me to do! I would have failed at that completely! XD But what a shame for hers to break like that! She must have put a lot of effort into it too!

Well, the good news is is that I got my grade back for the sculpture, I got a grade B on it! I'm really happy, because I really wasn't expecting to get such a good grade on it, especially as I haven't done it before! :'D
I haven't had the news about the sculpture still being intact yet but I hope it's okay! XD
Aww, that's lucky then! Yeah we got photos of ours before they went into the kiln so hopefully it will be okay!
Aww, well, sculpture is difficult! There's so much that you have to take care with and make sure you understand!

Yep! It's definitely one of the most difficult forms of art in my opinion, though often one of the most impressive and beautiful

Will you be doing any more sculpture work this year, or re you moving on to other stuff now? I know when we did sculpture we only did it for one term TT.TT....I guess that was probably good news for me actually since I failed at it but still

I don't think we'll be doing any more this year specifically, so it may be the same for us :/ Bit of a shame really, cos I enjoyed sculpture! XD
