Great job! I loved Dracula's Daughter, especially the scene in which she cremated Dracula's body.

Thanks!! I thought she turned out pretty well. I did this sketch a few months ago, but only figured out how I wanted to finish it two days ago. I'm actually a bigger fan of 'Son of Dracula', and that one will be along at some point. Got to get my Lon Chaney Jr./Alucard right first!!

She DID turn out pretty well--you nailed the whole Art Deco 'vamp' look that Gloria had going on in that movie; I watched it again, last night--I love that character! Much more complex and tormented than some of the wimpy vampires we get nowanights...
With Chaney/Alucard, I'm guessing the key features are his eyes, and his moustache! Can't wait to see the results...you have great taste in movies!!
PS: Have you ever done a portrait of Barbara Steele? Hers is a Face to conjure with!!!

Yes, I have done Barbara Steele, but I had mixed feelings about the final piece. It's up at my blog, I will try to post it here sometime in the future.

Thankee! I have seen your Barbara Steele, and it's phenomenal, but you're right--you didn't quite get her! Don't be discouraged; it's only (super)natural that she'd give you trouble--that's Barbara for you! It's all in the angle you use, I think...three-quarter profile, or draw from above, with those great wicked eyes glaring up at you! Anyhow, I know you'll get her! You have to--she's the Mona Lisa of Scream Queens!!

Thanks! It's a fine piece of art if you didn't know who it was suppose to be, I guess. There are things I like about it but the face isn't quite right. It is kind of hard to capture. I'm working on another one, and it's a big improvement. Maybe not there all the way, but definitely a step up. And the style is a little different, which was fun to do. I hope I'll be able to post it soon.
