Description Finished marker and colored pencil, "painting", for J. Augustine's commission of his fursona, Kyota ( from the at-convention commission list ).

The rushed artist, late, in a hurry to get to class / to the studio. XP

Took me FOREVER to decide on a color palette for the background! Kyota himself is MOSTLY made of 2 of the 3 primary colors ( blue and red ), so coming up with something to help make him pop was a challenge in itself. Did it work? Yes? No?

----

India ink and brush on 8.5 x 11 inch cardstock.
Prismacolor and Copic markers and varied colored pencils.

It totally worked! There's a really nice contrast between the cool colors of his jeans and the warm colors of the sunset/sunrise and a contrast between his red shirt and the blue of the higher parts of the sky.

Also - I envy your textures!! ENVYYYYYYYYY!!!!!
