Edit edit: Probably the last time I'm changing it, since I'm pretty happy with it now. I took out the title thing since it wasn't meshing with the composition very well.

I also changed the shading to a more Crossbones-type style. I didn't like how soft the other way looked.

Edit: Took some advice from snooogs and I spread it out to the sides which looks tons better. I got it inked/colored and all that jazz but I still would like input on it. I tried a more soft shading than I normally do but I'm unsure if I like it or not yet.

Okay, so MCAD is having the all school project this year like always and this year's theme is space and time. It's not due for six/seven/eight weeks but I figured I might as well get it done and out of the way before the school year picks up.

Marking this for critique because last year MCAD required classes to have us do this project, but this year classes aren't required to have us do this so I don't got a class to critique it (though I could just bring it to people and go "how's this?"). Therefore, I'd like some feedback before I submit it, since this show will be open to the public and all that jazz. The end project will be inked and colored.

A little background on what this is, this is a story Rick's working on that I'm doing the art for. Probably won't get to this comic until later. This is a completely separate series than A Loonatic's Tale and has a definite end (so I'd probably rate it more of a graphic novel sooner than a series).

It's about a mad doctor (Truman, with the gun) leaving Earth to take over other planets. This picture shows them on Mars. He's got a robot he made (named Robot, the doctor isn't the creative type), an alien girl (who also isn't named/is given a really dumb name), and the detective alien that hunts down Truman to trash his plans (Grand Inquisitor Wisteria). The story and art style is kind of like a 1950's take on space and very B-movie-ish in its grasp on space. Also, in the back, is the doctor's ship called the Widowmaker.

So yes, tell me what you think. I also know the Widowmaker is tilted and that'll be fixed in the final version. I actually see it a lot easier when I scan things since the screen's straight.
