Pencil, not pen for this drawing. Honey's lines are so delicate, I avoided using the Erasermate ink. And it turned out so clean, I didn't have to touch it up except in the original drawing.

Honey Bee is fairly bland in "Mr. Bug (or Hoppity) Goes to Town", but she is given a good reaction shot as Mr. Beetle, her intended groom is nearly killed by a descending plumb line that nearly hits her as well. The "HUMAN ONES" crash the little cathedral the lowlanders have built for the ceremony and its every insect for himself...except for Mr. Creepers who was too obstinate to move from his old place and Hoppity who was sealed up in a much-promised letter.

This marks the second time (and last time) in a Fleischer Bros. feature that the heroine's wedding was spoiled. But since Honey might have ended up with the villain, it's not such a bad turn.
