I love this. Super-creative. Congrats on the Daily Deviation! You deserve it. I saw you talking about how you need to work on better backgrounds. I totally get where you're coming from, since I have the same problem. I really like your backgrounds though. They're super original, and go well with the painting in it's entirety.

Looks great! I like the style and all the little details you put on her outfit. Her pose and expression also looks cool. The only bit of critique/feedback I can give is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of depth. I think if you would make the background into the distance lighter and with less of a big contrast (some parts almost hit the black in the background as well), you would have a clearer sense of depth in the background and make the character pop out even more. Other than that, looks great!

I don't think you're bad at backgrounds! I think it looks nice and just a slight tweak in value and saturation will improve it a lot I believe!
