Description
Middow the Midnight-Dragon poked his head out of the high window and, first thing of all, sneezed as soon as he come in contact with the chilly air. He snuffled and the chill run down his body to the tip of his tail. Others would say it was not possible but Middow always swore that he could feel the cold even in his horns and he did not like this feeling. He did not like the cold at all. Winter was a time of chills and shivers, when he would hide under pillows and blankets, closest to the fire. Thought, he had to admit, that winter was also the time of lights. Never is the world around him so beautiful then now. And that is also the only reason he occasionally strifes of his blankets and pillows, tiptoes to the window and sticks his head out, even though the cold is more then discomforting. The visuall effect is worth the discomfort, though, he thaught. At night the world would be filled with round glowing lights dancing above the snow, flowing slowly into the air. The lights are a different color each winter. Last year it was all reds and blues and the year before it would be all greens. This year the lights are white, like the snow at day, and yellow, like the sun that was hidden, and black, like the deep night sky when all the stars had gone out. A Sky light that can only be seen in summer though, because when the lights come out at winter, the sky lights up, too. In whole different colors, mind that. In purple and blue and pink. The brightest varient there is! It matched the color of his scales, he thought, and it reflected goergously from the white walls of the tower. A play of colors which could only be observed at this place, at this time and with Midnight-Dragons eyes. After some time he couldn't supress another sneeze and the chill was getting much to uncomfortable for his taste now. He released the windowsill, put his front claws back on the ground and hurried inside his little fluffy warm fortress beside the fire. He shivered once, twice and a last time, before the warmth cralwd back into his limbs and fell asleep a few seconds later, dreaming of warmth and light and black nights, when he will be able to spread his wings and fly with the summer winds again.
