While I'm not sure if it is intentional for your piece, my initial thought was that your design of Alexstrasza's dragon form in this image was meant to resemble The King of Red Lions in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. While this likely is not the case, I do love the similarity in the design choices as to me brings a certain flair to the image as a whole.
