Description Back at it again! Mostly, I just hadn't felt like my few things were up to snuff to post, and there is an extent that I still feel with some things. But this one here of Angela might have broken that streak.

Now, I was pretty young when Angela was in the initial burst of her popularity in the early 90s over at Image. But I fell in love with that design, which, while it hasn't aged too well, it's still intrinsic to that look that one identifies with Image Comics. And her Marvel Comics redesign by Joe Quesada kind of pays respects to that in a lot of ways, while also trying to remain its own thing (which it doesn't quite succeed at, as the character still has the look and feel of being from her former home at Image). I kind of miss the idea of making both an angel and a bounty hunter, but that's just me. I kind of wish there was a way to get a classic, super-articulated Angela from the 90s to go with the super articulated Spawn figure from a few years ago, but I don't think that's going to happen, not unless Marvel saw to doing it somehow with a keen eye to involve Image (uber-writer Neil Gaiman, who created Angela, owns the rights to the character, but I wonder since she was published by Image if those same rights extend to aping her former look for anything).

The picture was just another high-concept profile shot, with my 90mm macro lens. Nothing too strenuous or stressful, as the final results capture a lot of the characters elements better than anything I could've come up with.

"I kind of miss the idea of making both an angel and a bounty hunter, but that's just me."

Same here. Angela was a direct Marvel's Sonja inspiration, if i'm no mistaken, a galactic mercenary with valkyrie style makes more sense with "sword of sorcery" character inspiration than a another superhero with small clothes in a group of superheroes in Marvel universe. rewriting the origins of Angela in Asgard instead Heaven not a bad idea at all, but rather poorly executed. The best part of Marvel aquisition is the arrive of Hasbro figure in my opinion, maybe not the original Angela, but maybe see like a best variant ever made. I love very deeply that figure.
Great pic
