I use calendars only if they're synced. A calendar standing alone in a single PC it's not worth it. If we could sync Maya with google or outlook it would be good.

True. SynchronizedΒ calendar is very useful. Add an event in Pc when we work; then when we are outside it's displayed on our phone. Pretty useful to keep our schedule.

Random idea: What if you just axed the skeumorphic calendar view completely and made that sidebar part the app.

Completely agree. The sidebar is duplicating the skeumorphic calendar, except it is doing it better.
If the sidebar becomes the main app, then the details view he has shown here would work well as a standalone sidebar.

Loving this. Don't use a calendar as well and i don't have a smartphone neither but i think this would actually MAKE me buy one just so i could sync my tasks and events.

You should make the pane separator like 1000x thinner and revert the window controls back to the super slick elementary ones you had before.
