A toy space shuttle, probably this kind , which I bought from a museum gift shop in the hopes that I could dismantle its internal windup mechanism as a source of tiny cogwheels of the sort I find useful as clay-texturing tools. That didn't turn out to work, the whole thing was better put together than I'd have expected, but I found an alternative use for it and used my acrylics to decorate it with WW2-style nose art.
