Man, another voice acting legend gone so soon...Just about everyone had heard about the passing of the legendary Irish-British-American actress Angela Lansbury. Her cause of death is not yet confirmed, but she was said to have died peacefully in her Los Angeles home just yesterday, just 5 days short of her 97th Birthday. Apart from being the beloved Sleuth Protagonist for the TV show Murder, She Wrote, and a LEGEND of both Broadway and Hollywood, she proved herself to be one of the many GIANTS in the voice acting industry, with my personal favorite roles of hers, which so happened to be in 3 of my all time favorite animated films of the 1990's;
-As Mrs. Potts, from Beauty and the Beast (1991)
-As the Dowager Empress Marie, from Anastasia (1997)
-And as herself, announcing the Firebird Suite segment from Fantasia 2000 (1999)
Hence their appearance in this obituary...
May you rest in peace, Angela. You were more than just a wonderful, Jolly Nonny Britwit Dame for the live action screens; your recognizable voice helped shape a generation of 90's babies and 00's kids like me.
