Raphtalia: (Raphtalia sits by the fire, staring at the dancing flames. She's never been camping before, and the experience is both exciting and a little unnerving. She glances over at Naofumi, who is sitting across from her, his expression unreadable as usual.) quit staring and eat your food

Raphtalia: (She picks up her bowl of stew and takes a tentative bite, savoring the warmth and flavor.) It's delicious, thank you for making it.

Naofumi: (He glances at her as he takes another bite, not really sure how to respond. He's still not entirely sure how to act around her. She's so... innocent.) You're welcome. It's not much, but it'll keep you going.

Raphtalia: (She eats a little more, then asks hesitantly.) Naofumi-sama... You're still not angry with me, are you?

Naofumi: why would I be angry at you?

Raphtalia: (She looks relieved.) I'm sorry for how I acted back at the castle. I didn't mean to disobey you. I just... I don't want to end up back in slavery.

Naofumi: hmph the damn castle!

Raphtalia: (She nods, then says softly.) Thank you for saving me, Naofumi-sama. I promise I'll be a good companion from now on.

Naofumi: even when I tell the truth no-one believes me grr

Raphtalia: (She frowns, reaching over to put her hand on his arm.) You don't have to be alone anymore, Naofumi-sama. I'm here for you, and I'll help you however I can.

Naofumi: later well travel further into the forest you've gotten stronger

Raphtalia: (She smiles at him.) Thank you, Naofumi-sama. I'm glad I could help. And I'm looking forward to exploring more with you.

Naofumi: Here drink this medicine I blended it tastes horrible but its good for you

Raphtalia: (She takes the offered flask, her nose wrinkling at the pungent smell.) Thanks... I'm sure it will be fine. (She takes a sip, grimacing.) Yuck! But you're right, it does seem to help.

Naofumi: good medicine is bitter usually

Raphtalia: (She forces another sip, then sets the flask aside, gratefully. She glances up at Naofumi, her tail swishing back and forth.) So... do you think we'll find more information about the legendary dragon if we keep going deeper into the forest?

Naofumi: The other heroes should have taken out that damn dragon what are guys doing too busy patting themselves on the back

Raphtalia: Well, I'm sure they're doing their best. But if we find it first... that would be pretty amazing, wouldn't it? To be the ones to defeat it and bring peace to Melromarc.

Naofumi: Huh Melromarc I'm just doing it for the people not for the filthy royals

Raphtalia: (She nods, her expression growing more serious.) Yeah, me too. I just want to help everyone, you know? Make things better for them.

Naofumi: Hmm well with the material we collected in our last hunt I can feed it to my shield and get some new power

Raphtalia: (She looks intrigued.) Your shield can eat things? That's so cool! What kind of power does it give you?

Naofumi: I don't wanna talk about it in any case get some sleep good night little one

Raphtalia: (She yawns, stretching out on the ground next to the fire. Her fur is so soft and warm against Naofumi's arm, and her breath tickles his skin.) Good night, Naofumi-sama. Thank you for everything.
