now this is a great menacing piece. i love the hatchet designs and i do love the silk feel. maybe a bit more detail in the dress would be nice but its not my piece

Thanks! The detail of the dress is just as I intended it to be. You cant have equal amount of detail everywhere. That makes a piece uninteresting.

Thank you! I've been looking at lots and lots of Broms work lately and that definitely was an inspiration for this one.

I would see it very well as a bad charachter for a heroic-fantasy book ! I like it, maybe I would have choosed another background, but still good like that!

Yep, I have my doubts about the background to but I tried a bunch of others out and nothing really worked flawlessly so I ended up with this one.

Sweet, a man for a change. Don't you think you should push the values on his face a bit further, the chin especially? I think it's a little bit flat right now.

Ok, whatever happened there was very uncool. Is there any way to delete those extra comments?

Ok! I got it the first time.

I had a specific look in mind and initially I wanted to have even less difference in skin contrasts but then I chickend out. I had a more surrealistic look in mind when I started but halfway in I deviated from the rules I initially had set up for the painting. I'm not sure I can fully explain what I mean.

Please please please get rid of all those other posts. That was such a fail.

And all I'm saying is that hatchet dude here looks like he has no chin. Or like it's back in his skull, almost on level with the neck. I don't know, trying to be helpful.

I'll have a look at it then, cuz you so persistently told me.

Hurray for deeper chins!

Can't you do anything about my stupid comment flood? Makes me feel silly.

oh wow that is really sweet!!!, and it does work b/c u made him look like a super bein but if u want a more grundgy look you can add more darks and red in the background...and I say again your amazing

BAproductions In reply to Mizers [2011-02-12 06:34:10 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! I used green in the background to make the red hair stand out. But maybe darker would work.

BAproductions In reply to Loulin [2011-02-10 11:42:10 +0000 UTC]

Precis.

Loulin In reply to BAproductions [2011-02-10 11:54:24 +0000 UTC]
