OhayoCon is only a few weeks away. This is their t-shirt design for 2007. Wanna go? Here's some more information- [link]Going for a Fanastic Voyage look. One of my favorite childhood Sunday afternoon movies to watch. Should have made more reference to nanotechnology than just showing only one virus. Maybe a few blood vessels here and there would have helped, but I waited till last minute to do this.
Sorry for the dissection. Since this is for commercial purposes, got to take precautions to avoid piracy. I'll post a better version after the con for those who'll wanna take a stab at coloring it.

The cat is wonderful, as is the content look on the woman's face who is catching the virus. I have a thing for anime nerdish looking girls. 
If you want to add more to the illustration, perhaps you can do it with the background? Sneak some things into the coloring process?

ey thats cool bob, your stuff, i dont know the volume is always so dead on as if it was created in 3d, there any tools you use or anything?

The work was all hand inked. I used Photoshop 5.0 to create basic side view of the capsule and manip the shape that came close to the rough pencil version on another layer. Then created a light stroke of that shape. It's a bit retarded, but with so many curves I thought PS would make a better shape of the pod by messing with the tranfomation perspective feature. Printed that out in blue line then french curved it by hand with inks.
A reliable 3D program would be nice though. Most of the ones I download run out the 30 day trial before I even get a chance to tinker with it. I have one called Hash (Animation Master) which I've been too lazy to upload. It was quite buggy when I used it on my other comp, but bought an upgrade for it since then. I cherish it though because it's the same disk which was previous owned by Rikki and Jhonen to create props and ships for the Invader Zim pilot.

jeez, that is complicated, well i use the circle tool quite alot in flash, helps big time, i used to use 3d max whenever did 3d work, never used it for 2d images though, if ya dabble in torrents, should be easy for you to find. haha thats cool, how did you get that disk?

From Rikki. He got a better version, or another brand, and offered to send me that copy since he wasn't using it anymore. I had no 3D program to begin with, so it was a no brainer. XD
The buggy part was that I couldn't upload a side and front jpg (of gif) image to help me create a wireframe. Months later I caught the Hash guys at Anime Expo, bought the latest upgrade and I think it fixed it. Been a while since I played around with it.

huh, i havent used 3d in a bit myself, and with 3d technology, thats murder. certainly if you dont use those progams often enough, theyll lose ya in updates.

Neat design. I like the shape of the capsule because it looks like a pill. And you could probably sell T-shirts of just the cat in the diving suit; it's way cute. Good job all the way around.
