I really love collecting the past-gen pony toys so I decided to design g4 versions of my favorite characters!

Mimic here is a Twinkle-Eye pony; TE ponies were a set of ponies that had gemstones for eyes. it's one of my favorite groups of g1 ponies because most of them have absolutely lovely color schemes. Since Mimic is a TW it seems fitting to make her a crystal pony.

When designing her I thought about taking one of the colors out of her mane and tail, but then I though 'nah'. She's the star of my collection and she deserves all those colors. I did have trouble thinking up a special talent to go with her cutie mark that wasn't a repeat of something from another one of my parrot ponies. So her talent is doing sick skate tricks. How does that relate to her cutie mark? dunno

Fun fact: There was an official comic series than ran in the UK. They were requested to come up with a story of how the Twinkle-eye ponies got the gemstones for eyes. Basically, Applejack stumbled into a cave where a wizard enslaved a bunch of ponies to mine gems for him and these ponies became blind from living in the cave for so long. Applejack accidentally murders the wizard and his gem throne explodes and pieces of that throne embedded themselves in the eyes of the blind ponies. Now they can see again. :l
