A little while ago on twitter I asked who of 4 old OCs of mine people wanted to see new art for. And Tars won by a pretty sizable chunk! So, here he is with a brand new redesign for 2023!

I made two versions with different color backdrops. I think the darker backdrop makes the colors pop SO much better but you lose some of the wing detail? I couldn't decide which is best, so I gave you both!

It's been a LONG time since I talked about this character, so as a recap: Tars is a sentient tar pit that's existed since the dawn of time. And throughout history it uses magic to lure creatures to the mountain it resides on, then convinces them to enter itself absorbing their body, mind, power, and knowledge. After doing this for thousands of years, Tars finally has enough living matter inside of it to get up, and leave the mountain. In the form you see there. All it wants to do is evolve and consume the world. Its sentient and can communicate, but they do it psychically, talking directly into your brain. Obviously. Because they don't have a lower jaw.

I am SO crazy proud of how this redesign came out! I hope you like it too!
