This painting depicts an important journey initiated by the savior of an occupied country.

On May 19, 1919, in the Ottoman Empire, which was occupied everywhere, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was on a journey to save his homeland by informing his people and preparing them for liberation.

Even today, that great leader, whom he would have dedicated his life to millions of times, was alive and preparing for the establishment of the Great Republic of Turkey.

In the picture, the father in our family was giving the soldier salute, as every Turkish person would stand ready to salute. All of them believed in hope that Atatürk and the liberation struggle he started would be successful.
