A water-soluble pencil (derwent watercolour and graphitint) sketch of a Northern Lapwing / Peewit created as a gift. Tried to keep it quite loose and expressive while still appreciating the unique markings of the bird. Always enjoy using this particular medium, as it loosens me up due to the almost unnoticable switch during the process, when my sketch somehow becomes a painting.
