Description A series for a digital drawing/painting class I'm currently in. Essentially it was supposed to be a cultural reference thats supposed to be significant to me, in this case, my interest in Science Fiction. Depicting several sci-fi stereotypes; the hero, the space chick, robot, ship, and alien/monster. As each piece is depicting a different era of science fiction entertainment, it progresses to how i see sci-fi now, and my interest in it...

Different ages of sci:
50s: Astronaut themed, the hero is very basic, the damsel is often a hostage, aliens look very generic, robots look simplistic beyond believe, and ships are simply space rockets.
80s: Action themed, wild hero, damsel that fights back, aliens look pretty creepy, robots look bulky, and ships are quite complex.
10s: Science themed, hero and damsel switch places, aliens wear armor, robots are sleek, and ships look sleek as well.

For most men, the utlimate alien is holding the gun in the right picture...

Tell me if I am correct or not. First picture is 40s/50s/60s, second picture is 70s/80 and the last one is 90s/ 00s/10s.

dont forget about the stereotypical sci-fi gun, and how that has changed over the years too. this is a great picture, especially that retro one on the left side xD

Oh definitely, you can see it go from the "ray-gun", to more of a laser, and back to more conventional "bullet" style guns of most sci-fi today. And thanks, i think i had the most fun with that over the other 2
