Commission for =watergal28She wanted, and I quote, "Azula and Ozai, in like, a family portrait-looking thing." End quote. No Zuko, and no Ursa. Because they're not family. Mwahahaha. Kidding.
So, yeah. I have no idea how tall Ozai is compared to Azula, so I made an (un)educated guess, and there you are.

Forgive the late comment, but, yes, Ozai really is that much taller than Azula, if not more. Β Azula is only five feet tall.

It does look like something they would have in the movie. The coloring tells people how much alike they are.

I think it was really difficult to draw them so properly and it came out so stunning. :3
I really like the use of textures - it looks like a picture hanging in the throne room in the series.

I'd be careful with the chocolate-y thoughts, though. Imagine Azula's expression - or Ozai's, for that matter - if you told either of them that they make you think of sweets.

Azula's expression is my favorite part of this. All of the body language feels just right for them (Ozai's completely withdrawn, Azula's somewhere between defensive and unsure)

She's not quite as evil as she thinks she is. She's still pretty evil, but she missed a few easy opportunities in the show. (Mai and Ty Lee ended up in the low-security lockup?)
I'm also the freak that's thrilled with her for hitting Aang in Ba Sing Se. I do think Aang is adorable, but I've been waiting for years for a baddie to take initiative during the needlessly-complicated transformation scene.

It's amazing how often the villains just... stop and stare whenever the hero powers up. But not Azula. Oh no. Mad love for the crazy princess.
