It's bullshit that so many parents expect their child to fix their issues. Kid was just born and already has a job, and it's raising their parents. If/when you have issues, you go to a licensed therapist or a support group, there's many of them that are online these days. You don't force a kid to deal with your baggage. Same goes for your marital problems. Having a baby will not save your relationship, nor will it hold on to the person you're with, and even if it did, you'd basically be in a fake relationship for 18+ years which would cause the child to have issues regarding relationships. The relationship wouldn't be "saved" in that case, as there would be no real relationship. Even so it is not a child's job to ""save"" your relationship/marriage.
