Description I'll bet most of you folks who are watching me didn't know I'll be doing metal work for my Prince Armory business, huh? We'll heres a start of one of my first projects.

The title is kind of a play on words since I like the 'D' so it's kind of a -tribute- to them.... heh, get it? It just seemed to fit.

I've got the 'stabby' part nice and shiny and mostly how I want it, the rest will be decorated and polished and finished and mounted to a nice stick when I get the chance. Commissions come first though.

Cool armor stuff in my gallery and at the Prince Armory website at PrinceArmory.com [link]

Don't know if you know this, but rub some oil/drilling fluid on them suckers and they'll shine AND prevent rust.

Sorry. Latin.
"Thanks, mate,
How's that funny...? I don't see how it's funny."

Hard to get exact translations, hence the difference in punctuation and stuff.

Looks nice... a bit... railroad spike-ish, I'd guess, but nice. Can't complain at all, since I've made blades from files before, as did my father. I've one he made back in the '40s, it's still a wickedly lovely piece and one of my favorites.

Once you've attached the handle (curious to see how you're going to accomplish that) it'll look really sweet.

Best of luck with the smithing!

heh, nope, not a railroad spike. Made from my late grandpa's old pick-ax. Nothing wrong with using files. Ya gotta figure, files are used to shave metal off of other metal stuff; so they're plenty durable.

Yep. Just have to take some of the temper out of them so they'll flex a little.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was that it was a knife. (Didn't read the title...) I think you should really make a knife also. Same style but wrap the handle in leather or nice wood with Gold rivets. Also gold plate the bottom of the handle. Love the WIP. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.

Oh wow O:
Very shiny indeed 8D
The only "constructive thing" I've done in school was wood working and sewing....other then that, nothing dealing with welding{?}.

Amazing work as always <3

I've got a cheapo-depot warhammer bought from a magazine. Even when they are low quality, these bad boys are so incredibly destructive. I was so giddy after demolishing an old unfinished wooden sword in 2 shots that I broke my friend's made in mexico scimitar on.

Needless to say, the spike part you've got there is incredibly beautiful and looks VERY strong in design (not too thin, not too thick, and has an intresting shape).

I've done a little smithing and remembered that railroad spikes where used for knifes.

I never saw anything this shiny black smithing though.
