sigh, attempt at mixed media.......or as i call ruining a prefectly good painting with red pastel. i like monocramatic i really do! but they just dont seem to like me much. but i got tried of looking at it so now it here for all of you to look at even thought creul and unusal punishment is outlawed in the states. suggestion if you bored hide all your half finished work from your twitching little hands.

That's quite a piece.
I like the colors and contrasts. It's not that I'm overly committed wangster but this kind of stuff goes down like a cup of coffee in the morning.

I don't think that the red twine looks bad. A little gritty in some places on fullview, but overall, it suits the picture perfectly. Wonderful piece. ♥

Black, white and red often look great together, but in this picture the colours are absolutely enchanting
He looks like a ghost or an angel,
playing with the red string of fate that now binds him to the darkness.

Gorgeous contrast of the lighter blue on white, with a black backdrop blend of darkness and red weaving. I love this masterpiece with great emphasis on the word "love." Something charismatic about it.

Really corny title. AWESOME pic! Ok, wow, this picture is just.. damn. I dunno, where you see the red as ruining the picture, I see it as giving it more meaning and light.. lol, it's like everything he's been doing has finally gotten out of control and is now choking him, and yet he's keeping it cool and still doing what he was doing before.
..ok, that was a really crap telling of what it means to me, but.. believe me. It has a lot of emotional impact. Bravo!

I personally really like his. The first thing I noticed was not the red, but rather his expression. I love it. So honest looking... I think the red helps solidify that in my mind what this piece means. I'll give you my own little interpretation: The red strings aren't the weaver's threads, they are his master's (going from the title) so they weren really meant for him, hence the contrast and dissoance. I'm probably _way_ off the scale, but art is free to interpretation so that's my little piece. I really like this piece and just to prove it..... *favs!* ^^ have a great day!!
