Long after starting the show in 2011 - 2012 and getting into the fandom, I was looking for an OC that would match me perfectly, but I really didn't want to be a pony. So for a while I didn't have a mlp-sona and ditched the idea of it all together. After a bit of playing around with the idea again when I looked at Serengeti animals, I then tried to pick which animal I wanted to be...since I'm not fast as a Gazelle or Antelope those were out of the question, love cats but a lion didn't really click either, I was then left with Water Buffalo, Elephant and Giraffe. Being a Water Buffalo would be cool, but would remind me of the Yaks just a bit more naked. I'm kinda like an Elephant, big and do have a good memory (at times), but I couldn't draw the trunk to be cute or proportional to the body. So finally I decided on the Giraffe, I have long legs and I naturally am tall.

After making the OC I needed to make a name, and honestly I looked at African names for Giraffe...but it was to no avail as the words were too difficult or didn't fit my character. So I was thinking of Ivory Skydust or something on those lines.
