I saw this (and the other) painting at that exact McD's in Philly at the 30th Street Station nearly 15 years ago (1998 to be exact).
I entered the search term "industrial" into the dA search engine just now and saw both of your paintings and recognised them right away. (Even though I haven't set foot in that station since 2000).
I used to commute every day through that train station for two years, and those paintings at the McD's always struck me as being quite extraordinary.
I see in your work a little bit of the Tim Burton surrealist take on the design of Gotham City from his Michael Keaton/Jack Nicholson film "Batman" from 1989. Burton went way overboard on the "overbuilt" spects of his vision of that particular crypto-New York City, and also went for an extra dark, extra heavy style of art deco. Massive archways that were impossibly scaled, etc. And then he took all that sort of look and grunged the heck out of it all.
What I perceive your paintings doing is taking a not-quite-so-heavy, but still slightly overbuilt art deco style and crafting it into the image of a pristine perfection -- no grunge at all. Just a forward-looking Utopia of energy, innovation, and a very power-focused sense of design.

hi there...Thank you!
I apologize for late response I've been quite busy with painting.
I'm surprised that you remember them. It's been over a decade.
I love Industrial Art Deco of that era...It was a phase of discovery
and interest working for an interior design firm that hired me for
their concept restaurants.
best regards,
-Dodie

I'm sorry to say that it's the true art like this that is not appreciated as much as other things, wonderful work. Perhaps, the use of McDonalds on his belt was a bit excessive..? : D And I'm guessing this takes place somewhere around 1940~? Anyway, great work.

My pleasure, going through your gallery at the moment, but I wondered, what kind of work do you do? Commercial or mostly requests like this?

I do commercial work, mostly murals and illustrations for the
interior design restaurant industry... I'm also a design consultant,
graphic designer from image branding (corporate logos), point of
purchase, brochures, package design, etc...
My professional career expands 24 years this year.
I don't limit myself to just one genre of medium or style.
I've recently completed my first comic book.

I'm the creative director for a new tv cartoon in development.
The Batman is Joker art you see are art I do for myself,
but I'm starting to participate more in comicbook conventions
in Artist Alley and show my work.

Oh, wow. You've been up to stuff. I don't know what else to say, you're like a artistic genius : D
I liked the comic, how long did it take to create?

The comix took me less than a month to create, from the cover illustration,
penciling, inking and coloring. I was able to meet print deadline using the
Wacom Cintiq...I didn't sleep on the last day, it was crunch time. It was
printed and shipped safely in San Diego Comic-Con, last year '08.
We printed 5000 of the 1st issue and handed them out FREE to promo the cartoon.

Thank you,..To come up with that composition, I had to research the
industrial age of the 1930's thru 40's and also had to study the old
masters who created large scale Art Deco murals like Diego Rivera.
