Really?? I thought Christmas was yesterday O.o At least in my family we exchanged the presents then... Oh that's good, because I was so worried you would be mad I stole your scene... well from a different angle but still a bit Somehow I knew Sau's fashion disaster detector is too fine not to spot what matches his eyeliner and what doesn't XDD Well, that's cool because Melk's armor totes caught my eye. It's so pretteh. Bad thing I somehow didn't manage to catch Sau's armor... I must confess checked material is not my strongest point. WUT?!?! NAH, DS is yours and I must solemnly return it to you now. Welll, y'know I love your designs and I'm having fun copying all those fabulous clothes but it's much harder and I dunno, unnatural? for me to do so. Like those scale-like stuff on Melk's arm and all over Sau: it takes me ages to do and they all turn out wobbly at first so I've spent half of eternity doing them justice Besides I couldn't have come up with anything like it on my own, it was Your doing Rae! And then I somehow I think your original version is a bit more serious than mine... Though I don't think pissed Melk is so bad XD AND don't forget about dork Melk on Opposite day and on that stip with Freddy: it's hilarious. He's so cute there

Nope. Yesterday was merely Christmas Eve. CLEARLY you and your family misread the calender... Nah, I'm Joking!  That's actually really interesting that you all celebrated Christmas yesterday. Maybe the selected day to celebrate differs between country/family.  I know some families here celebrate on Christmas Eve instead of on Christmas day (gift giving, dinner, etc).   Yeah, mine too!  You see there is a story here. You see, many moons ago when I was but a stupid teenager I asked for a wacom tablet for x-mas and got one. Pretty much the equivalent of what I got this year but it was top of line by 2005 standards which I'm sure have been surpassed since then. Long story short after playing with it briefly I never touched it again for reasons of not understanding how it worked and by the time I realized I really wanted to use it (like 9 years after that) it was officially DEFUNCT and would not work.  Needless to say mom was far from happy about how I never used her expensive ass gift.  Justifiably so ofc. I mean if I could go back in time I would punch my younger self in the face for all that.   Obviously I lucked out that my mom was willing to give me another chance and get me the intuos again (even after I showed her the Huion tablet line as a cheaper alternative) and I am very happy. I intend to use it this time, even if it is mainly for coloring.  I shall hope that someday you too shall get an upgrade!

LOL. You couldn't make me mad by "stealing" my scenes and I think you mean borrowing. =3  I LOVE to see you borrow my scenes/designs/what-have-you and draw them in yer fab style.  So borrow/take inspiration from whatever I do whenever. I will never mind since I'm totes laid back like that.  Nah, it's fine. Sau's armor/robes/whatever he is wearing is hard to figure out and I like what you did with it anyhow. Even I have trouble figuring out my design at times but since Melk kinda ripped it up in the last DS scene I'm swapping it out for some new pretty dress. I mean robe.   Oh, dude. Check pattern is the easiest pattern to do for me and obvi my favorite! I am surprised to hear it is not on your list of things you are awesome at. Color me surprised...

Aww, ok. I guess I'll carry on with DS myself then. XD  I wonder if perhaps it's a bit easier to do the design elements that make up Sau and Melk's clothes traditionally instead of digitally?  I know I can turn out the scales on Melk's armor faster in pencil/ink than when I was practicing on my tablet. Who knows? Either way I still think you did a super great job of mimicking the designs even if you found it very unnatural to do.  And truly those designs take forever traditionally too so welcome to my world. =3  I am very impressed. *applauds*  I mean just look at that swirly pretty tree, cute little dragons, and swirly BG!

Pissed Melk seems like it would be canon... though I would prefer it if he wasn't pissed at Sau. XD  LOL. Oh yeah. Ok. I guess I DO have some dorky not so pissy Melk under my belt.  I really do enjoy drawing him as a dork just as much as I do as angry at the world. I really need to draw s'more of him like that sometime.  I have been thinking about another comic strip the past couple days that would involve Melk and his greatest rival... and no. His greatest rival is not Tulkas or any of the Ainur.  It's something else that no one would understand unless they saw the 'Succubus' episode from South Park...

Oh wow. Well then that tablet was even a bigger surprise And even if it's only colouring now, I guess it's a bit easier that with a mouse isn't it? Btw may I ask what program you use? Ah, well, I always say I want a better/bigger tablet because it would be cooler and I'd be interested what a better sensory stuff is like but all the time I have to say to myself that my old tablet is perfectly fine for my needs

Ohh, OK For next christmas I'll try an other one of your scenes if I can't come up with something more original XDD And well, yeah, checked patterns aren't really my thing. Mostly because at first I can't make the lines cross so that they make out proper squares... and they are hard to color with round brushes -.-

And actually the swirly BG wasn't that difficult, I even enjoyed doing it And I'm glad you notived the tiny dragons (I guess I can't hide that much details as you can XD) but did you spot the two dragons match the two dork lords. And it's good you agree you should carry on DS - especially now you revealed to me the possibly angbangy ending

Well if  you WANT a new tablet you are more than welcome to try and convince family members to help you invest in a new one but I still think what you use now turns out some pretty fabulous stuff.  Oh, I use Photoshop for all my editing/coloring needs.  I ended up sucking it up and doing the pay by the month BS since I could never get gimpshop to work for me. Not to mention I KNOW how to use PS. I know where everything is blah blah blah.

LOL. Well i'm sure you'll have plenty of scenes to pick from if you need inspiration next time. I'm positive I will STILL be working on DS when next Christmas rolls around so yer good. XD   Ahhh, I see!  Well, clearly you do not pay attention to my checks because aint NONE of them 'proper' squares. They're all oblong, rectangular, crooked, etc because I don't see a need to be perfect with them. =3  Don't fear the check, Aven! Make it bend to your will!

Ofc I noticed the dragons AND I even saw how they were color coded to certain dork lords.  Only the most fashionable of dork lords ensure their clothes match their tiny dragons  It made me smile, without a doubt!  Begrudgingly I shall carry on with DS though me thinks that angbangy ending will be a long hard road to come to. Dun Dun Duuuuuun!

Oh,ok I was just curious X) And I totes understand if Photoshop is the thing that's working for you. Some friends of mine wanted me to try SAI and MangaStudio but, uh, no. PS is good enough for me And aw, thanks Well, I'm just always curious my stuff was easier to produce with a more sensitive tablet... But I guess I won't beg for a new one until this one gets on fire or something XD

So long as you know how to use it PS is super easy to work with.  I shudder to think about relearning a whole new program to use to color/draw with. D8>  So I think I'll stick with what I know. XD  Hmm... careful.  All those arts of a fiery Sau getting pissy with Melk you do might end up catching your tablet on fire.... THEN you will need a new one.

Melk must not have thought that far ahead.  Typical.  But I'm sure he'll make due SOMEHOW... but I'm sure waging battles and war on *insert whatever army/persons here* will take a heavy blow and the world will have a nice span of peace and harmony since Melk is tied up (or passed out snoring from overworking himself)  Truly, Melk increasing Sau's and therein his own workload is the best thing that could ever happen to Arda!
