Description Various fish from Middle Devonian Queensland, in what was thought to be a brackish water community...
The pituriaspid Neeyambaspis enigmatica, the arthrodire placoderm Wuttagoonaspis fletsheri, and the pituriaspid Pituriaspis doylei.

The "Pituri" of Pituriaspis does not mean "hallucinogenic," as commonly translated, but refers to a hallucinogenic drug used by local Aborigine shamans for vision quests.

That's so awesome... I'm really loving your style.

It's hard to believe those animals actually existed. What references did you base it off of? Did you use the actual fossils or did you use other artistic renditions? Combination of both?

Well, for Pituraspis and Neeyambaspis, I couldn't use the fossils, as their "fossils" are just empty sandstone casts. I used other's reconstructions for them.

They do look hallucinogenic, what with the nice use of green.
