Nia Teppelin. Argh.

I hated her at first. I can't lie--the blatant, abrupt replacement of Kamina's slot by this sweet little rainbow-nightmare moeblob was jarring and grating. But then you get to know Nia a little, learn about her, and you ultimately realize she's a softer-spoken, prettier female Kamina. Just as willful but a bit more tolerant of Simon's bullshit, her chipper, cheery attitude even when everyone on the Dai-Gurren-dan was depressed was really a breath of fresh air.

She rapidly became one of my favorites once I got over Kamina. And of course, she turns up to be the bad guy...
