Description Neil Degrasse Tyson Pen Sketch

Just another small sketch where i try out different things. Well the thing here was when you put the pen down you are not allowed to lift the pen up again, until you are done. So that means this whole drawing was done using one long continuous line that connects everything. Its the first time i tried something like this and it was suggested by you guys

The reason i did a portrait of Neil Degrasse Tyson is simple. I really look up to that man i terms of knowledge. If you never heard or read anything this man has done you are missing out. I love listening to his work while i draw.
And the second reason is since he is a astrophysicist/cosmologist and this type of drawing reminds me of atoms ( electrons ) flying around - it just made sense to pick him

I used a 0,1 pen and yes i did a small shading with graphite pencils after i finished drawing the lines. If i ever will thy something like this again i will used only graphite pencils - because that way i can also play around with the hardness of the lines and smaller mistakes are less visible then whit a pen.

A good advocate for science would have some regard for rigor and accuracy. Tyson is perhaps the sloppiest, most inaccurate pop science celebrity ever.

Great piece of Art! The spirals look like magnetic field around Dr.Tyson!

I love it! Considering how the universe is connected (which he has explained oh so poetically), he would enjoy this.

Yeah. Star talk radio. You can listen it for free. It's usually him with a comic co-hosting. So it's also pretty funny.

I've heard of this kind of art before. It's amazing if done properly, and yours looks fantastic! Check out this artist; he does much the same style of portrait you did with this one: webneel.com/20-awesome-celebri… It's apparently called Scribble-Style Portraits.

My favorite astrophisic. I love all related to the space and Neil, who has eighteen doctorates, really inspires me to learn a lot about the universe.

Cool.  I saw him when there were space programmes on channels such as BBC2 and BBC4.  I liked what he said.  Can't remember, but I know I liked it.  He seems like a nice man.
