Great and freaky image
Looks like something that should be illustrating one of the darker fairytakes...
My first thought was that it was a branch from a tree, with a spirit escaping, you should write some stuff to go with this as it is increadibly cool, if a little scary

My, that certainly is a weird hand face.
Ugh. It's creepy, too. I would expect a face to form in the ball of the hand, where the thumb is rooted into the palm. The place you chose to have this face come out of really creeps me out. Well done/
