Eversince I created my dragons and chose to base them off real animals and mixing them the skywings are based from birds and cats to some degree

I always thought if I had dragons with both scales and fur why not a dragon with feathers

Skywings are ancient species cousins of the stormwings both have large wingspans and can fly high altitudes though the difference is stormwings have lightning and can fly higher altitudes and have metallic parts of their scales

And skywings have no breath weapon though used to be known to have chances to be born with shimmerscales which can mimic others element with their touch and can reflect light and use their irredecent scales to vanish in the light

And they used to have sunscales as well which are known for being born fiery blue then as they age they go from blue,to white,to yellow to orange then a inferno red before death by flames being extinguished

And more commonly had moonscales which if born under three full moons they can have,spiritual immunity and dream walking mind reading/telepathy

Also had stellar Animus which can give enchants and commands to inanimate objects to one or three items depending the strength

and some had shadowscales which are known as soulstealers who need others souls to heal themselves from any injury as well as vanishing in darkness and even vanishing into the shadow realm which is a subrealm thats in the same place but they can't be seen nor touched unless seen by spectre scales which never existed till stormheart being a shadowscale and skyfall being a shimmerscales had two of them

So despite not having elements of their own they had the most variety of supernatural borns to compensate for their weaker hollow bones and being powerless
