Description
So...the day I first met the Eds....well, I met Ed and Eddy before Double D, cuz he hadn't moved in yet. I was outside trying to get the hang of rollerskating in the circle outside my house, since I was still new to it, and these two kids down the street had set up some sort of stand and called me over to them. I went to see what they wanted and they told me if I gave them a quarter, the one boy would eat an ENTIRE tv! You guessed it, it was Ed and Eddy pulling their Bottomless Ed scam that Eddy to this day is so proud of! I admit at the time I thought it was really gross, yet really awesome and funny at the same time....and worth the quarter I spent! Anyway, a few days later I went to the playground hoping to find someone to play with and Eddy and Ed were playing in the sandbox with some new kid I had never seen before. There was no one else at the playground at the time, so I went to go see what they were doing and who the new kid was. They all stood up when I came over and tried to like, cover up whatever they were doing in the sand, which I thought was weird. Anyway, the new kid introduced himself to me as "Edward with two d's", with the usual shaking, sweating, and turning pink that Double D is famous for to this day, heh. He asked my name, but Eddy interrupted saying I was just a dumb girl from down the street and dames always get in the way, or something like that. I told Double D my name...and he repeated it in a kinda dreamy sigh as a response, grinning. It was so cute! I asked what they were doing and Eddy told me they were coming up with the scam of the century and to get lost, no girls allowed. Ed was just standing there watching a butterfly fly around. I noticed there were some kinda drawings that looked like plans or something in the sand but, I dunno what they were, and Eddy obviously didn't want me there at the time, so I just went to play on the swings and they continued to talk amongst themselves. Every time I looked over at them though, it seemed like Double D was looking at me instead of playing attention to what Eddy was saying, and Ed was really distracted by that butterfly. I still have no idea what they were planning or if it ever happened...though I doubt it did, with the lack of focus I remember observing! Aw, what a fun memory to revisit, thank you guys for allowing me to share it with you!
