Likes:
   Always moving and touching things. She gets very fidgety when left alone, and can't sit in chairs for very long without getting up to do something dumb. She takes pride in being a "free spirit"
   Dancing and singing, although the singing part she can only do alone or when she wants to annoy/manipulate other people. Sea shanties and drinking songs are her favorite, or anything that makes her sound particularly mysterious.
   Pirates. She loves pirate stories, pirate songs, pirate clothes, and the general pirate aesthetic. She's dressed up as a pirate for the last four Halloweens in a row, and always is looking for friends worthy of an ocean adventure (although she's never been on one herself).

   She's actually terrified of the ocean, and has never learned how to swim. While she's a siren, and part mermaid, she never lived underwater, and is scared to death of whatever could be lurking underneath the surface, and so never has even tried it.
   Anything that's too time-consuming. She can become easily overwhelmed by a simple, boring task and finds herself struggling to pay attention and get the job done, so often has to find ways to make her life more fun and interesting, usually by causing trouble.
   Herself lol. Even though she can shapeshift, her actual appearance is pretty gross-looking to herself, and so she can get moody at times when she's forced to reflect upon personal appearance. Makeovers and self-reflection aren't really her thing.
   Commitment. She's a fun-loving free spirit who's mood and emotions fluctuate constantly, and gets frustrated with people who can't catch up with her fast-paced attitude. She can be very cuddly and flirtatious, but has a hard time being serious when things get real. She has a habit of running away and avoiding uncomfortable situations like this.
Abilities:
   Shapeshifting, only into someone or something desirable to her "victim", or a victim she's had previously. Usually this is just someone she's messing around with and causing trouble for. If she stays in another form without reverting back for too long, she becomes depressed and goes through a sort of identity crisis. She also shapeshifts often since she thinks she's pretty gross looking.
   By touching someone else's skin, she can see what their ideal partner may look like, and be instantly able to shapeshift into them at any time. If she really wanted to, and tried to concentrate, she could learn many of the desires of others through physical contact of others, even repressed ones, and so is a reputable kinkshamer (or matchmaker, if she cares enough).
   Siren wails, which can be really freakin' loud if she's doing it right. May hypnotize others, usually makes people think they're in love with whoever they're looking at when they hear her (It probably wears off in a few days at most... probably). Even just humming a little tune to herself can cause romance to bloom if she's not careful as to who overhears, so she tries not to sing, when she can help herself.
Disabilities:
   In the same way that she can create love for others, she too falls in love far too easily. While some romances/crushes can last only a few moments, a few days, other times she finds herself smitten by regulars at the Cafe for weeks on end, never actually speaking to them. She can easily be swayed by her abilities, and finding out two friends have similar wants and characteristics compels her to become their matchmaker, ultimately making everything worse for the couple and herself.
   Really bad at walking/running/etc. Sometimes she walks with a cane if her legs are really bad (some days are better than others), but since she's really meant to have a tail, she's just generally clumsy. Her webbed fingers also make life difficult for her at times, and she can't work well with her hands, especially on small objects. She usually gives up really easily on such projects because of this. She also thinks the cane looks stupid, even if it helps.
   Although she doesn't spend time in water, she has to drink a ton of water everyday, usually far to salty for the average person to enjoy. She carries a jug around at work sometimes. If she doesn't drink enough water, she gets migraines and becomes extremely tired, and it becomes difficult to use and control her abilities.

Mona is the extroverted free spirit that everyone seems to either love or hate. Often causes trouble around her wherever she goes, Mona is not usually the type to use her abilities for the betterment of monsterkind, instead causing love to bloom in the strangest of places or destroying relationships in an attempt to make them better. While this can get her incredibly frustrated or downtrodden, her upbeat and fast-paced lifestyle usually doesn't let her sulk for too long before moving on to something else more fun. Mona has suffered with clinical depression for a large majority of her life, in part due to her inability to comprehend and control her feelings, and her unnecessary need to put 200% of her energy into everything she does (until it gets boring). While she can go through good days and bad days, she always finds a way to cheer herself up eventually, and works hard to cheer others up as well. She loves to make new friends and often dreams about going out on adventures with the people she considers most important and dear to her heart, but she has never really gone on any sort of adventure, and until a few years ago lived a rather sheltered life with her family.

Another fun fact is that if she's not careful some of the drinks she brews up can be mysteriously salty, and so she has to concentrate while working.
