Recently I saw a drawing that someone had done of The Little Mermaid 1974 anime version, so it got me in the mood to draw some as well! :3

Okay, this is the first of 6 drawings that I'm going to do of the mermaid princesses from the movie. These drawings are based off of the stories that the sisters have told about their first trip to the surface from the original story. The eldest, which I believe to be this one just because she's always the first to scold Marina, told of a beach that she lay on as she watched the sunset and heard church bells ring from a nearby town.
