Description
A submission for a contest on r/imaginarymaps, this map is set in the far future of 2068, with technology and geopolitics beginning to shift the balance of power to a part of the world which had last seen the limelight sometime during the Age of the Ottomans-- Northern Africa. Thanks to the rise of geo-engineering projects, a unified North African State was able to conquer and subdue the vast deserts of the Sahara through the creation of large inland seas, pushing the deserts back and opening much more land to human settlement and development. With the Sahara nearly vanquished to the dustbin of history, the North Africans now fully look outwards towards the rest of the world.
