Description
Ash had just fallen asleep, but something didn't feel right.
"He has arrived, Awaken Vanguard," a deep voice echoed. Ash's eyes shot open. He expected to see the room he was just in, but he could only see darkness around him.
"Who's there?" Ash called to the darkness. His own voice echoed but nothing replied.
'I need some light so I can see' Ash thought to himself. He then felt a surge of energy flow through his body and to his horn. A deep red glow engulfed Ash's horn and a orb of light started to grown at the end of it. The light flowed across the floor, reveling that he was standing on a platform with stairs leading down to the floor but the light from his horn didn't go any further. it was like the darkness was pressing down on the light. Ash then took a step forward, and the next thing he knew he was falling, as he hit the ground with a light thud, Ash opened his eyes. The sun was shinning thought the open window, and he was back in the room he'd fallen asleep in last night. "Was it all a dream?" he asked himself.
The sound of running cam from outside the door, and then someone opened it. "Ash are you alright?" Twilight asked as she entered to see Ash on the floor.
"Yeah I'm fine just sleep walking off the bed," Ash replied as he lifted him self up off the ground, his legs wobbling as he did so.
"Here let me help," Twilight said, moving towards Ash.
"No I'm fine," he replied, finally standing up straight. Then he took a step forwards, but his leg gave out and he started to fall again, just as quickly stopped as he found himself resting on Twilights side. "A…ah t…thanks" Ash said, looking at Twilight, a slight blush covering his face.
Twilight giggled softly and replied, "Now we'll take this slowly so something like this doesn't happen again."
Ash nodded and they both moved slowly towards the door. A while later, they both entered the kitchen. Twilight helped Ash to a seat at the table. She then took the seat next to him. The small dragon named Spike was just finishing up what seemed to be a salad and brought it over to the table, placing it on the table before taking the last empty seat.
Ash looked at the salad and his stomach let out a loud growl that made both Twilight and Spike look at him. He felt a slight blush come over his face again.
Twilight giggled, "well it has been a week since you last ate," she said. She then made the salad rise from the bowl and dividing it into three portions. she put the larger of them in front of Ash, and gave Spike and herself the other two. Ash looked from Twilight to his food and the gulped hard. Twilight giggled again, "It's alright, Ash, you can eat it."
With that, Ash almost jumped from his seat as he started eating like there was no tomorrow.
Spike looked on in shock. "Yuck, I think I just lost my appetite." Spike said and pushed his food away. Ash had finished what was in front of him and looked to Spike without a word.
Spike sighed, "Fine, you can have it."
Ash then levitated the food to his plate and started eating again.
Twilight giggled as she started to eat.
"Maybe I have some gemstones hidden somewhere," Spike said. Then he got up and walked out of the room.
"I see you remembered a little magic" Twilight said after she had finished her food. Ash had also just finished the food Spike gave him, but he wasn't full. It was enough though. "Huh? Oh, yeah. It must be because of that strange dream I had last night." Ash replied, shifting himself in his chair, after he'd almost jumped from it to eat.
"A strange dream you say?" Twilight asks tilting her head to the side a little "Can you remember anything about it?"
Ash closed his eyes and told her everything about the voice calling him a vanguard, for which was not sure, about thinking how he needed light to see and it just activating like it did and how he was just about to walk down from the platform and fell off the bed. "…even though it was just a dream it somehow feel familiar," Ash finished with concern in his eyes.
"Don't worry Ash we'll figure out your past, I promise" Twilight replied, smiling softly.
"Twilight, Twilight!" Spike yelled running in holding a scroll.
