This has been spiraling downwards towards an increasingly messy crash-and-burn ever since the beginning of the Countdown arc. *checks number left* Itβs only going to get worse, isnβt it? *thinks over recent events and how quickly everything went to hell* A lot worse. *wanders off to hide in a corner under a safety blanket*

You know, I'm quite curious about Jareth's last two sentences. Was he referring those to the actual Sarah or to Story? I mean, they both are correct about Jareth having no power over them, but both have different goals and reasons. And depending on those, Jareth gets to decide whether to lend his power or not. Then again, I kinda digress on this ((Pretty late to think clearly.))
I'm pretty sure Jareth isn't fool by what Story is telling him. While it is true that he has no power over Story, it doesn't mean Jareth can't control his own story. After all, Jareth is like the "storyteller" to how his life will become and whichever path he choose is the one he decides to "write."

Okay, that's a low blow... I want the real Sarah to swoop in and smack this fake in the face with a frying pan...

Sometimes even villains need a hero, though they'd never admit it

Isn't this where the biggest and baddest of all things comes and kicks Story's ass; Copywrite? Or didn't that particular article pass in the EU?
(Sorry - that one proposed net rule made me bitter - it's a bad thing)
Poor Story though (yes, I feel bad for Story)....

I think the biggest and baddest thing that can happen is us- The Readers.
After all we can stop stories by simply putting the book down.

True - but how many of us actually would want to? I hate to admit it but - this is my drug of choice - the reading thing.Β Ironically, the only times I stopped for longer than a week was - when people close to me suffered from cancer (but I wrote - alllll the time) and when I was put on alert at my er um - job (for months at a time).

Hey I didn't say it was reliable- Hell I go kind of bonkers without a little read-time myself. But as consumers we have to choice to pick our reading material- I didn't read the Game of Thrones series past the first book because- Well I just didn't like it, simply enough.
I doubt that's an option here, we're all too invested... But it's always a choice out there. Just food for thought.
