BACKGROUND.
Mary King informed her sister Tiana that she was expecting not long after Jupiter washed up in the swamp; with her husband recently deceased and suffering heartbreak she chose to raise her child alongside her sister’s new little one, giving siblinghood to Serenity and Jupiter. While both were carefully taught by Mama Titi Mary held close to Serenity, afraid that she would encounter the troubles she met out in the world. Serenity grew to be curious and a bit rebellious if not blissfully unaware, running off with Jupiter to town for joy rides and fun. She does not apply personal responsibility too much when Jupiter usually is given the worst of the fussing when their shenanigans come to light but she is loyal to Jupiter and trusts her over anything. As they grew and worked together Serenity learned value in hard work and dedication, even if she finds little motivation in the mundane, if Jup says the word she puts her all into it knowing it's either going to be worth more in the end or it will save their hides from getting caught. When Jupiter left to work in France she suddenly found she had all the attention of the Kings and quickly grew annoyed of their overbearing behavior so when Jupiter returned she stuck to her like glue as the family began to travel for business. Eventually, Jupiter took a quick routine trip west and came back with a mysterious guy and train tickets, boat tickets, and an insane plan for a new store that Jupiter asked her help to run. A new store across the ocean? She was ready before Jupiter even finished asking.
