Description
It was suggested to me that I watch the videos of a group on Facebook called Level Up and I'm glad I did. They're great learning opportunities. It was suggested that if one wants to learn color (and even painting techniques to a certain extent) one should do studies not just from master copies but from film stills.
I like this idea a great deal and decided to incorporate it. I did a couple today along with the color studies I've been doing. I'll post those soon as well as a link to the Level Up group i you haven't seen it before but for now here's the first study.
It was an interesting one I'll admit. Really saturated colors, lots of reds, oranges and yellows as well as a hint of violet and a hint of green in the corona of the sunrise. Learned a lot and good fun.
Study on the right and original on the left.
