Description
Eva fell to the ground, watching the masked Tricos fly away, leaving her to die. She huffed, her vision beginning to blur.

She noticed a gray Trico standing in front of her.

Olavi.

"Just kill me already." Eva growled, looking away. Olavi stared at her for a moment, then slowly walked over to her. Eva kept looking away, accepting her fate.

Olavi glared at her for a moment, then let out a loud roar. Eva was confused, but she was too weak to even say anything. Soon, she heard a familiar roar in the distance.

Olavi quickly walked away as another Trico appeared in the distance.

"Icolus...?" Eva muttered. She lifted her head, and it was definitely Icolus flying towards her.

"Eva!" Icolus cried, running over to her injured mate. Icolus looked around, then noticed Olavi hop onto a rock, heading deeper into the nest.

"Did Olavi do this?!" Icolus whined, confused of how her mate got so badly hurt.

"No." Eva said quietly. "He just roared and walked away."

Icolus knew that this wasn't the time to ask what happened. She lifted Eva onto her back and flew back to their den.

Icolus landed in front of the den and brought Eva inside. Their three cubs looked at them, confused.

Cinnamon, the oldest cub, instantly noticed her injured mother.

"Is mama okay?" Ray, the one that looked more like Eva, asked. Cinnamon ignored her sibling and ran over to her parents.

"Who did this?!" Cinnamon whined, looking at her mother's wounds.

"Cubs, go play outside for a while. Your mother is very hurt, I need to help her." Icolus explained, putting Eva on the ground gently.

The cubs listened and went outside the den. Icolus gathered some leaves and began cleaning Eva's wounds.

"Who did this?" Icolus asked, worried.

"Some masked Tricos attacked when I was coming home." Eva explained, remembering the terrifying faces of the Tricos that attacked her. "I don't know where they came from..."

For the next few days, Eva stayed in the den resting. Icolus brought her food.

After about 2 weeks, Eva was back on her feet. She went roaming around the nest, looking for a little bit of food. She suddenly noticed Olavi sitting on a nearby cliff. Olavi turned his head, noticing Eva.

"Oh, well look who sadly survived." Olavi said, rolling his eyes.

"Fuck off Olavi." Eva hissed. "I didn't come here to fight you."

"Not even a thank you?" Olavi growled. "Jeez."

"What do you mean?" Eva asked, confused.

"I did call for someone to help you." Olavi said, barely any emotion in his tone. "I didn't help you myself because I still hate you."

"Why did you help me?" Eva continued.

"You have a family to take care of." Olavi said without any other explanation.

"Why do YOU suddenly care about my family?" Eva growled.

"Because I myself am actually going to be a parent soon." Olavi growled. "My mate Lami is expecting cubs. I now understand what it's like for you to take care of a family."

"What are you saying?" Eva was still a little confused.

" I was hoping that we could reach somewhat of an agreement." Olavi explained. "You stay away from my family, I'll stay away from yours."

Eva thought for a moment, still surprised that Olavi of all Tricos was saying this. She sighed and looked up at him again.

"Fine." Eva said coldly. "But if you ever hurt my family, then I will not hesitate to kill you."

"Deal." Olavi said, then walking away quietly.

Eva sighed and continued her search for food. She found a few barrels and then went back to the den.

"Hopefully this means we won't have to deal with Olavi anymore..." Eva whispered to herself.

Eh just a short story. I was feeling a bit down so i wrote this to try and feel a little better.
