And it was FUN.

I'll let Rachel explain in her own words:
Barrington is a quasi-educated 'British' bird with delusions of grandeur. That is to say he thinks he is a lot smarter than he is, he has big dreams, high expectations and more often than not will get the people around him into trouble. He means well though and he talks a good game which is important when you find ourself surrounded by the enemy and the only thing between you and the soup pot is a quickly worded defense peppered with big words. Barrington is always going somewhere and always in the company of his best friend Pancake (who is a cat).

I was having fun drawing Barrington as a bird, but then I got curious about what he and Pancake might look like as humans. Thus the picture at the bottom. Then I figured I'd go Animorphs on them and try to draw the in-between forms too, thus the picture just before the bottom (in which I think Pancake is saying something like: "Wow, that looks exactly like the scroll that just went missing from the National Museum of Speculative History." To which Barrington responds with an eloquent "Er..." Don't worry, I'm sure Barrington felt he had a good reason to pinch it).

These two populate a world that is "somewhat steampunk," so I tried to incorporate a bit of that in the form of a random nonsensical gear-staff-light-reflector. Looks like it's worrying Barrington a bit...
