Experiment 486 - Grindz - Designed to pulverize enemy war strongholds. 486’s hinged jaw and massive forearms are ideal for crumbling the toughest of fortresses, and his thick hide is impervious to almost any form of attack. Fortunately, Grindz isn’t bright and is easily distracted by the way something tastes. His One True Place is with Kokaua Town Construction, demolishing old buildings.

A big old gorilla-lunk. Grindz’s personality is not a gentle giant, programmed to singlemindedly tear down bunkers or walls in the heat of battle. Of course, as aforementioned, his curiosity about what certain pillars or beams taste like sometimes distracted him from the task at hand. Once he gets started on a building, Jumba created this behemoth to keep going until it’s complete dust! Heaven help the creature that tries to fight with Grindz! His favorite snack is a bowling ball, and during his first encounter with the Ohana, he bonded most closely with Nani.

621 used this relationship, in particular, to turn the big guy back to naughtiness. Grindz had never thought about being jealous of Nani’s baby before 621 showed up and claimed she, and the rest of the so-called ‘family,’ didn’t care about him anymore. And wasn’t he tired of only getting to eat bricks? It wasn’t hard for 621 to convince Grindz to join his little group of rebellious Experiments. Grindz hasn’t seemed to realize, yet, that he isn’t getting to munch on different buildings like 621 promised, so much as he’s serving as muscle for the team of evildoers. One Experiment Grindz is close to, now that Nani isn’t his friend anymore, is 560, Prism. She can calm Grindz, who is naturally curious, with her slow-flash technique. This is not the case with Trip, his least favorite teammate.

One interesting fact about this big guy is that he has nightmares. This is due to Jumba renting his services out to the Jaboodie alien gang shortly after his first activation, where he saw frightening scenes of battle inbetween crunching up spaceships.

So Grindz is one of 621’s bitter gang, along with Flame, Prism, Comet, Crystallene, Klamp, Trip, and Bonnie & Clyde.
