Description
2017 is going to be a fun year and I'm looking forward with these upcoming events. Here are my first thoughts.

Beauty and the Beast (2017 Film)
A live-action remake of Disney's 1991 animated film, Beauty and the Beast surprisingly got me hooked up. While the story will be the same, the characters, mainly from Beast's Castle, looked good. The music from the trailer brought back memories. It's going to be interesting to see.

Beauty and the Beast (2017 Film) will premiere on March 17, 2017.

Kong: Skull Island
A reboot of the King Kong franchise, Kong: Skull Island also surprisingly got me hooked up. I'm more of a Godzilla fan, but I also like Kong. Especially the Peter Jackson version (fun movie). While it's a reboot, the film will focus more on the Island itself. Kong himself looks awesome. It's as if the developers took the 1933 design and modernize it. I'm really looking forward to this movie.

Note: From what I've heard, this movie is a set up for the future film, Godzilla vs. Kong.

Kong: Skull Island will premiere on March 10, 2017.

Injustice 2
A sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us. The first one was fun and is one of my favorite PS3 games. So I am excited about the sequel. The one thing I wasn't sure about (announcement trailer wise), was the whole armor thing. With the exception of Batman, it didn't make sense to me. But as it turns out, a new system called "Gear System", which offer character-specific costume pieces and equipment with status-altering effects, making it RPG-like mechanics. I'll admit that's a pretty cool and it offers you to create your own version of these DC characters. In addition to returning characters from the first game like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, new characters will be in the sequel like Supergirl and Blue Beetle. I'm looking forward to playing as Gorilla Grodd. I'm really looking forward to this game.

Note: I plan on getting a PS4 for this.

Injustice 2 will be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16, 2017.

Godzilla (Anime)
It should be no surprise that I'm excited that Godzilla is getting an anime. In fact, I did a Top 5 of things I want to happen, with an Anime Godzilla as my number one pick. However like Godzilla: Resurgence (haven't seen it yet), I do have some concerns. One: the anime is going to be CG, which is not what I picture for a Godzilla Anime. But it's going to be done by POLYGON PICTURES Inc., which also did Transformers: Prime. But I'm not sure that the CG is going to be like that or like Knights of Sidonia. Two: Gen Urobuchi is doing the story and screenplay, who also did Puella Magi Madoka Magica and is an anime I didn't like (no offence to the fans). But he also did Psycho-Pass, which was a fun anime. That being said, I not sure on what kind of story it's going to be. Regardless, I'm still interested on what they do with Godzilla in Anime.

Other than the year, 2017, I'm not sure on an actually release date. I'll update it as soon as I find out.

Update: Godzilla, now titled Godzilla: Monster Planet, will be released somewhere in November 2017.
